Peter Adam is vicar emeritus of St. He formerly served as Principal of Ridley College Melbourne and he currently speaks internationally at conferences for training preachers. Peter is both a pastor and a scholar who preaches with humility, insightful application and expositional clarity. I was thrilled when he agreed to help launch our little endeavor by answering some questions on the subject of maturing as a preacher. This is the first installment of our two-part dialogue:.

Leon Morris gave a fine example of servant-hearted ministry. He wasn't building his reputation or empire. He had wonderful gifts from God and he was using them for other people. He wasn't trying to be a celebrity, just a servant. This is Leon Morris. A humble, faithful, proclaimer of the centrality of Jesus Christ to the Christian Faith. She made a wonderful contribution to the College and our community. As Warden of the University College she had responsibility for the residential university students.

The Bible commands its readers to communicate its message. So true biblical theology will reflect this imperative, and the true biblical theologian will want to communicate to others the truths of the Bible. A good pragmatic test of any theology is whether or not those who believe it want to pass on what they have learnt. Preaching, or any other means of explaining the message of the Bible, attempts to communicate it to others. We can summarize a biblical theology of preaching in these words: God has spoken , It is written , and Preach the word P. God has spoken. The self-revelation of God is always either expressed or explained through words. It is by the words which God has spoken that we know who he is, that he has made the universe, and the meaning of his works, his saving acts. It is by these words that we know of the identity and significance of his Son Jesus, of his plan of salvation, and of the gospel. God has accommodated himself to us and condescended to speak in human language, with perfectly true words, so that we can respond to him in faith as we hear his voice.
Our relationship is not perfect, not easy, but absolutely amazing. Yeah, I think we need to have that talk I've been putting off. None felt right, ever. Her beliefs are innocous but ultimately a death sentence for this relationship. Maybe about a year ago. Not sure I want to marry one and live a lonely life, I just want a life partner that can be there for me and any future children.
